Features
Engine
One press of the starter button is all it takes to awaken the 660R’s dual 33mm Mikuni carburettors and 660 cc liquid-cooled, five-valve SOHC engine, perfectly complemented by a five-speed manual transmission and a lightweight, compact chassis.
The five-valve four-stroke gives performance over a wide RPM range with very smooth delivery, while a 12-litre fuel tank provides excellent range. The reverse gear is invaluable when the trails get tight. Further refinements for 2005 include a handy parking brake lever and wider footpegs.

True king of trail ATVs
Thanks to the 660R’s YZ-spec ratchet-type shifter, shifting through the gears is smooth and quick. And with lightweight aluminium components, the 660R weighs in at just 182 kg. Trail riders will love the 660R’s advanced suspension, which enables the rider to select the ideal settings for trail conditions, rider size and ability. Nissin dual hydraulic 161mm disc front brakes and a single rear 220mm disc, guarantee quick braking whenever needed. A host of extra features like no-tool air filter access, spin-on oil filter and handlebar-mounted choke make this the true king of trail ATVs.
